Without a question, if the receptionist that schedules your appointment is grouchy or sounds sick, you will be less happy about your actual doctor visit. You may even find that you will not gain much benefit from the visit. In a similar way, once you go to the office, the last thing you will want to do is sit in a room with a receptionist that thinks he/she is the doctor. On the other hand, a receptionist that is cheerful, healthy, and tactful can make an enormous difference in how you feel prior to seeing the doctor.
Interestingly enough, if you view a receptionist as a supporting team member, you will quickly understand why it is very important for you to project a positive image while staying in a limited field of operation. If you are an effective and successful promoter, you will find that the students will remember you and see you in a very positive way. This work can be very enjoyable if you stay focused on your specific tasks, and use your role in service of others. If you are not sure about what to do, it will be to your advantage to work this out with Rowland before the event takes place. In many cases, asking a few simple questions should make it easier for you to define your tasks in an efficient way.
When you are working as a promoter for an event that features Rowland Barkley, it is very important to understand your role in facilitating the motion of practical events.
